with the donations of renowned hong kong lawyers, yu ruichao and his wife zheng nizhi, the construction of the library and information center began in july 2000 and was opened in conjunction with the school in october 2000. the library and information center is dedicated to building a “small yet sophisticated” platform that enables easy access to quality information and serves the strategic goals of the school.
at present, the center covers a building area of over 400 square meters with 43 reading seats, more than 46, 200 kinds and 66, 300 volumes of chinese and foreign books, and over 110 chinese and english newspapers and periodicals. statistical yearbooks are collected from provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and related industries. paper and electronic documents, such as graduate theses, teaching materials, research reports, and internal exchange materials, are also available. the literature resources focus on economics, management, political science, sociology, and administrative law, representing the discipline plan of our school and the research interests of each institute.
through cooperation and resource sharing with other libraries, the center enables faculty and students to access external resources. students also enjoy an unmatched advantage as the center receives a large number of professional documents from the world bank, harvard kennedy school, don e. kash, and other foreign institutions, eminent professors, faculty, and students of our school.
